Couple weeks ago when I knew about bush fire in Australia I decided to help animals. First I bought Koala patterns from Elisabeth Hartman ( you can to find here) . In couple days after I seen that my friend also join to help animals and I bought also pattern from her ( Lynette Anderson website here and pattern which I bought here). And I thought that I can to sew bags for kangaroos and other animals who lost mothers in fire. But I got information that foundation which help this way don’t need more. So I thought : I helped that I could. I got one more information about challenge „quilt for Australia” but the deadline end of February. I knew it’s not realistic to receive before this date. The package from Poland to Australia are going few months. The distance is similar than from UK to Australia but unfortunately time of delivery is very different. But I got another information: my friends who live in England will be in Cracow ( in Poland) the next week. Obviously I want to see you , so I knew I’ll going to Cracow. And… I decided sew top to Australia. I had only 5 days from idea to finish. I sewed over a dozen hours per day and … I did this! Below pictures my work in progress diary 😀 / Kilka tygodni temu gdy dowiedziałam się o strasznych pożarach w Australii postanowiłam wspomóc akcję pomocy zwierzętom w tym kraju. Najpierw kupiłam wzór Koali Elizabeth Hartman ( tutaj link do wzoru) .

So happy that we could be a very small part of this worthwhile project. You mad fast quilt will do good things and help with the problems in Australia
Congratulations
Thanks a lot for helping me. Without you, I wouldn’t be able to do it <3
Margaret, thank you from an Aussie for your participation in this project. I saw your quilt on the Facebook page. I live in an area of Victoria where there were bushfires but we did not suffer the devastation that many did. My friends and I also made some blocks for this and it has been heartwarming to see the contributions from all over the world! In an age of so much negativity it is wonderful to see the love and generosity of strangers. It will be exciting to see all of the finished quilts in due course. Bless you for your part!
Thank you very much Anne, for your comment and for visiting my blog. It’s very nice. You are very lucky that the fires did not destroy your home. People and animals are powerless when it comes to the elements. Helping others is just as important as breathing. We are strength but only if we work together. I designed this quilt especially in this situation. Soon you will be able to buy a pattern for this quilt. I decided that I would devote all my sales to the charity. It will be my tiny contribution to all evil in this world. Bless you <3 and I hope see you soon on my blog 🙂
